A FANTASY FOOTBALL simulator.  Assemble a roster of animal athletes drawn from across a wild sports league, then simulate a season to see if your decisions pay off. Experience the joy and pain of wins and losses as your chosen animal athletes triumph or struggle.

Built using decades of Fantasy Football playing experience, I aimed to make a "realistic" feeling football simulation engine, and then built a fantasy world around it where you can play fantasy football against bots. The goal is for it to be easy to learn, but for there to but a lot of depth too.

FAQ:

What makes athletes succeed in this game?

1) TALENT. A combination of their Floor/Ceiling and their traits, displayed as their Overall PFT (Pure Fantasy Talent).

2) TEAM CONTEXT. There are many interactions within a team that shape an athlete's Fantasy output. Some examples:

  • Good receivers buff a QB, and a good QB buffs their receivers.
  •  If you're an athlete on a team fully loaded with talent, the ball might get spread around, but if you're the sole superstar on the team, the offense will flow through you.
  • Different teams have different tendencies; for example, a PASS-HEAVY team benefits QBs and receivers, but limits RBs.

3) MATCHUPS. Different opponents are better/worse at defending each position. Exploit easy matchups! But also, probably don't bench your superstars just because they have a tough matchup ahead.

4) RNG. Yup, Fantasy Football is full of bad bounces and lucky plays. BUT if you make good choices, you will set your self up with good odds (so long as you haven't broken Zeus's law and made the fantasy gods mad at you...).

This is a work in progress and is updated regularly! I hope you enjoy.
